Oppo introduced the Realme 2 in the last days of August, and promised one more thing at the end of the event “2 surPrise you”. This new thing appears to be Realme 2 Pro with impressive specs and the time to be unveiled has come – the launch is happening today at 12:30 PM local time and you can follow it in the YouTube video below.
The Oppo subsidiary will introduce the Pro phone with a Snapdragon 660 chipset and up to 8 GB RAM, according to a Geekbench listing. A leaked photo suggested the device will have 128 GB storage, living up to its Pro moniker. The phone might also be the global pioneer for the subbrand, since it is also expected to arrive in Indonesia next month.
Unlike the regular Realme 2, the new phone will have a waterdrop notch but will miss on the typical diamond-pattern back panel. At least it will keep its tall screen ratio, the dual camera setup and will come in a sweet light aqua blue color with glass, covering the panel. We expect the phone to have a huge battery and hopefully VOOC charging, since it was already a thing in the Oppo R15 series.
